Atlas is a personal AI advisor built for students. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and what we do not do with it. We have kept this short and plain on purpose.
Atlas is built and operated by Phillip Walsh. Questions: walsh.jphillip@gmail.com.
When you set up Atlas, you provide:
Connecting Google is entirely optional. Atlas works fully without it. If you choose to connect, here is exactly what happens and does not happen:
✓ Does: Save email drafts to your Gmail Drafts folder when you ask Atlas to write an email.
✗ Does not: Read your inbox or any existing emails.
✗ Does not: Send emails on your behalf. Every draft requires you to open it and click Send yourself.
✗ Does not: Access your contacts, attachments, or any account data beyond creating new drafts.
✓ Does: Create calendar events when you ask Atlas to schedule something.
✓ Does: Read upcoming events only to avoid scheduling conflicts when you ask for a new event.
✗ Does not: Delete events, share your calendar, or access calendar data unrelated to something you've specifically asked Atlas to do.
You can revoke Google access at any time from your Google account settings. Disconnecting Google does not delete your Atlas profile.
Everything collected is used for one purpose: making Atlas more useful to you.
Your data is stored in Supabase, a secure cloud database. All data is encrypted in transit (TLS) and at rest. Row-level security is enabled — your data is accessible only to your account.
Atlas uses Anthropic's Claude API for AI responses. Anthropic does not use API messages to train models by default. See Anthropic's privacy policy.
If we make significant changes, we will notify active users through Atlas itself. The date at the top of this page will always reflect the most recent update.
